The Bahamas, located in the Caribbean region, is officially known as the Commonwealth of The Bahamas and it's an archipelago with 700 islands. It is a member of the World Trade Organization, CARICOM and the Commonwealth of Nations. The economy of the Bahamas is dominated mainly by tourism and then offshore banking. Tourism significantly helps the retail companies grow in the Bahamas. Recognized branded products are preferred and American brands receive a huge preference. Main industries of the country are tourism, banking, salt, oil transshipment, cement, aragonite, pharmaceuticals and spiral-welded steel pipe. |
